ENGLISH DESCRIPTION In the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen, Cristina Ooro and Ana Jarn explore the author as we had never seen her before: a journey through the life and works of a fascinating author. Jane was born in the Steventon Rectory, into a family devoted to books and knowledge. Surrounded by brothers with whom she read out loud and performed plays, Jane stands out for her wit and her free thinking, and finds in narrative a space for reflection, a state of being, and ultimately, recognition. With her intelligent perspective and fluid prose, in these pages Critina Ooro rediscovers this emblematic author from a feminist point of view, questioning the alleged conformity of her works and appreciating her intellect and use of irony and social critique. Intertwining her text with Ana Jarn's unmistakable touch, Ooro brings Jane back in a way we had never appreciated before.
