AI for Diversity critically examines the growing impact of artificial intelligence on diverse groups within society. While AI has the potential to bring about positive change, it also poses risks of exclusion and discrimination if not carefully designed and implemented. The book highlights how AI systems, shaped by the data they are trained on, can unintentionally perpetuate harmful biases, including misogyny, racism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism. By exploring these dangers, the book encourages readers to reflect on the societal consequences of unchecked AI systems. It also presents strategies for promoting diversity-awareness in AI development, offering insights into how AI can be used inclusively to benefit all communities. Essential reading for anyone interested in the intersection of technology, ethics, and social justice.
