Questo manuale vuole essere un riferimento per chi si approccia per la prima volta alla programmazione nel linguaggio R e all'utilizzo di RStudio.

Il linguaggio utilizzato � volutamente semplice ed intuitivo per permettere a chiunque di avvicinarsi alla materia e impadronirsi dei comandi base del linguaggio R per svolgere analisi descrittive, rappresentazioni grafiche e creare semplici modelli statistici. Il manuale non � un testo di statistica, per cui non vengono particolarmente approfonditi i concetti base della materia, per quanto si cerchi di fornire brevi rimandi agli stessi indirizzando il lettore tramite suggerimenti per una corretta pratica di analisi dei dati. Il testo � indirizzato a chiunque voglia lavorare con il linguaggio R e necessiti di un manuale di veloce e facile consultazione in fase di lavoro (in primis studenti universitari, tesisti e ricercatori).

Il manuale si divide in due grandi blocchi. La prima parte � dedicata alle tematiche basiche del linguaggio, quali l'utilizzo delle sue principali componenti (vettori, matrici, dataframe ecc...) e le operazioni fondamentali su di esse, oltre alla creazione di grafici, manipolazioni di tabelle, calcolo di statistiche descrittive e tabelle di contingenza. La seconda parte � incentrata sui modelli di regressione lineare, i pi� importanti test d'ipotesi e lo studio delle distribuzioni di frequenza, con particolare focus sulla distribuzione Normale.
