And Dreams of Home is a vivid photographic tour of the noted French interior designer's country home located in the south of France. Following a path through the house and garden Daraux comments on diverse subjects helping the reader to discover a few of the secrets that helped him design the house in a rich, French-country style. The book is divided into five sections; the first four correspond to the seasons of the year. The fifth section of the book includes intriguing vignettes of some of the painstaking restoration work and shows details of flooring, fabrics, and furniture used in the house.

Specially commissioned photographs throughout the book masterfully convey the particular luminosity of each of the seasons. Jean-Loup Daraux has been an interior designer for many years and has worked on residences for several illustrious clients. His work has appeared in publications worldwide, including "Cote Sud" and "Veranda."
