Googiedesign definierte interkontinental beständige Aktualität und generierte auf historischer Basis das Design der Gegenwart und Zukunft entsprechend des digitalen Konzeptes des Copy, Paste and Scale. Dabei präsentierte sich das automotive Googiedesign bisher als ein Cartoon-Design und beinhaltete dessen Gestaltungsmerkmale bis hin zur Veröffentlichung des gültigen Produktes. Das Googiedesign der 1950er und 1960er fand bereits gleichartig moderner Computertechnologie statt, funktionsfähige Digitalrechner waren zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits bekannt. Man vertraute den Computersystemen mit zuversichtlicher Selbstverständlichkeit um die vorgesehenen Raumfahrtprogramme zeitnah zu absolvieren. "Raum ist Zeit" analog A. Einstein erwies sich in den 1950ern als ein populäres Thema. Da Raumfahrt nun als möglich erschien war ebenso Zeitfahrt ein Punkt des öffentlichen Interesses. Die grundlegenden Gedanken widmeten sich der Auflösung von Raum und Zeit als strukturelle Basis der Raumfahrt, entsprechend der Möglichkeit ferne Galaxien zu erreichen, da bei zunehmender Geschwindigkeit die Zeit ebenso zunehmend langsamer vergeht und diese bei Lichtgeschwindigkeit letztendlich stehenbleibt. Dieses inspirierte den Erfindergeist sowie die zunehmenden Wünsche in Bezug auf weiterführende Technologien. Das Thema der Raumfahrt wurde bereits zuvor in Cartoon-Geschichten, Radiohörspielen, Fernsehsendungen und Spielzeugmodellen zuversichtlich funktionierend vorgeführt. In der Folgezeit wurde dieses den Möglichkeiten entsprechend in die Praxis umgesetzt und führt zu der Frage bis zu welchem Punkt jene Wünsche erfüllt wurden?
