This is a design book, not a set of software tutorials. It is assumed you know how to use InDesign CC. Graphic designers are often appalled by what they see in ebooks. PDFs are no real problem, as they work with them all the time. But ePUBs and MOBI versions seem like a weird type of book with the limits of Web design, plus no real possibility of typographic control.It is true that ebooks have been a mess until the past couple of years. In some ways, they still are. However, InDesign CC has truly solved most of the problems. It always did export the best PDFs.
