He is a coauthor of All Write: An Introduction to Writing in an Academic Context and Communication Skills for Foreign and Mobile Medical Professionals. W. A. M. Carstens is a professor of Afrikaans linguistics and current director of the School of Languages at North-West University-Potchefstroom. John Linnegar is immediate past chairman of the Professional Editors' Group in South Africa and is an associate of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders in the United Kingdom.
