In 1970, a West-Texas, farming family meets a crossroads.

Six months after her mother's passing, 24-year old Olivia De Len's tired and disillusioned father, Diego Montez transfers his farm's ownership to her and her two sisters.

The eldest, Olivia has unsuccessfully sought a profession. As the only available daughter, she tries to run the farm, and through the transition, chaos ensues. She clashes with Diego and fails to understand the nuances of the farm's operations. Old wounds between her and her father deepen.

When Olivia's brother-in-law, Theo Hansen-also in his early twenties and seeking a suitable career-finds himself with a gambling debt, his uninformed decisions collide with Olivia's efforts.

Will Olivia's natural talents align with running the farm, or is there a more suitable endeavor? Does a path to healing between her and Diego exist? Can Olivia update her own misguided attitudes to rally behind others' dreams for themselves?

Read Leaving Diego's Farm to discover how Olivia and Theo-on separate trajectories-address complex problems.

A father-daughter story; a story of renewed paths, freeing oneself from other people's issues, and the redemption of life after injury and hardship.
