The author Dr. Jaya S. Anand (born 1961) took her M. Com. degree from the Kerala University in 1984. Starting her career as Junior Assistant Professor in 1985 in the College of Co-operation, Banking and Management, Kerala Agricultural Univer-sity, she continued there till 1996. Presently she is working as Assistant Professor in the Institute of Management in Government (IMG), Trivandrum. She was awarded Ph.D. from the Kerala University in 1996. As a keen researcher, Dr. Jaya has published research articles in management journals and periodicals of repute. She has also been guiding MBA students of IGNOU. As a trainer, she has co-ordinated several National Level Training Pro-grammes on Finance Management for the Senior Executives of PSUs. Dr. Jaya has also participated in many national seminars and workshops.
