Dr. B. Deka, M.A., Ph.D. (G.U.), P.G.D.H.E. (IGNOU), is a Selection Grade Lecturer of M.N.C.B. Mahavidyalaya, Nalbari under the University of Guwahati. Earlier he was the Lecturer of Bapujee College, Lakhimpur Girl’s College, Lakhimpur Post Graduate Training College and Barbhag College, Kalag.
Dr. Deka has been associating with a large number of voluntary and academic organisations from time to time since 1975. He is the author of 11 books and has published more than 40 articles on education, culture and society. He has contributed papers in state, national and international level seminars and conferences.
Dr. Deka received N.C.E.R.T. literary prize in the year 1990 and ‘Medal of Merit’ from the Bharat Scouts and Guides Assam Branch. Presently he is entrusted with teacher education and research project of University Grants Commission.
