She has served as Director of NIFT and worked with prestigious institutions such as IIT and NID. With a postdoc in Quality Education, Dr. Deshmukh has conducted extensive research in the areas of Higher Education with over 60 articles published in national and international journals, along with six books and numerous book chapters. She has contributed to several national and international panels, including the UGC, NAAC, Validation and Quality Assurance Panel in the UK, Selection Panel for National Award and much more. Furthermore, she has received the prestigious Fulbright and Commonwealth Professional Fellowships and has been honoured with the Rashtriya Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar, Best Director and Eminent Educationist awards.
