What is India? Can we understand it? Nagesh Dooganavar has a doctorate in English Literature from the Department of Studies and Research in English, Karnatak University, Dharwad, Karnataka, India. He has served as a teaching faculty at the post graduate De-partment of English, Karnatak University Dharwad. He is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Depart-ment of English, Vijaya First Grade College Pandavapura, Mandya District, Karnataka. He has been teaching Eng-lish language and literature for more than a decade. He has participated and presented research papers in many State/National/International conferences. His areas of interest are Postcolonial Studies, Translation Studies, Liter-ary Theory, Cultural Studies and Philosophy. Philosophy of Science is his latest area of interest.
