Indian English Literature, a comprehensive anthology, presents perceptive chapters on the major Indian English writers, including novelists, dramatists and poets who have enriched the realm of letters. The thematic concerns of these writers range from the mythical to the mundane, the colonial to the post-colonial, the social to the individual and the psychological to the satirical. Being polyphonic in nature, the book includes incisive analysis of writers such as Ezekiel, Ramanujan, Parthasarathy, Gieve Patel, Kamala Das, Nirad Chaudhuri, Raja Rao, Manohar Malgonkar, Anita Desai, Deshpande, Arun Joshi, Arundhati Roy, Shashi Rohinton Mistry, Bharati Mukherjee and Manju Kapur. It is an ideal resource for students and researchers focusing on Indian English literature.
