This edition contains all the 154 sonnets of Shakespeare with a critical appreciation of each for the benefit of all the University and College students and teachers of India and possibly of other countries as well. This is the first of its kind in the Indian academic realm. It is hoped that it will help both the students and the teachers of Shakespeare to appreciate and enjoy his sonnets better with the help of the critical explication offered in as simple and clear a language as possible about the relevant information on the Elizabethan ethos, world-view, allusions and imagery, etc.
