The Roots of India series will bring children closer to their roots through stories that introduce them to the India of the past, the present and the future—its mythology, its history, its geography, its people, its cities, its food and everything that constitutes the rich cultural diversity of India. This new boxset in the Roots of India series contains four exceptional books that capture the great tradition of folktales from the subcontinent. From the immortal Betaal Pachisi and Singhasan Battisi, to enchanting tales from peninsular India, and finally tales of wit and wisdom from across time and history, this collection of books will give readers of all ages a magical and rollicking ride across the rich storytelling heritage of India.
