(Un code QR imprim dans le livre m ne vers les enregistrements sonores.) 13 songs and poems by celebrated French-Canadian author Gilles Vigneault, richly illustrated by Nathalie Dion, take us on an extraordinary journey marked by each season. Evoked in clear and lively language, the poet's words encourage us to cherish our roots and have faith in the youth. The accompanying recordings can be accessed with a QR code printed in the book.

As a member of the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, Gilles Vigneault is hailed as one of Canada's most influential music figures of the 20th century, especially as a champion Qué bé cois folksinger. His work often evokes his great love of nature and the passion he has for his hometown of Natashquan, a remote, windswept village on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. He has received numerous distinctions including the Grand prix du disquiet de l' Acadé mie Charles-Cros in France and the Mé daille Vermeil offered by the City of Paris. Nathalie Dion is the acclaimed illustrator of " The Big Bad Wolf in My House" (Kirkus Reviews Best Picture Books, USBBY Outstanding International Books); " I Found Hope in a Cherry Tree" (Globe 100 Books, OLA Best Bets); and " Kumo: the Bashful Cloud" (Golden Kite Award, Mrazik-Cleaver Honour); among others. She lives in Montreal, Quebec.
