Alvarado, Patricia Veazey: - Patricia Veazey Alvarado grew up in Abbeville, Louisiana. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, with a degree in French and English. Then in a spirit of adventure she moved to the Republic of Panama to teach with the United Fruit Company. Later she received a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. After her 30-year teaching career, she now dedicates her time to writing bilingual children's stories and to laughing, especially at herself. Pat resides in Panama with her husband.

González, Leadimiro: - LEADIMIRO GONZALEZ, aka Kubiler, was born in Kuna Yala, Panama, on the island of Sasardi Mulatupu and moved to the capital city of Panama with his parents when he was very young. He discovered literature as a teenager and has dedicated himself to writing stories, especially for children, ever since. He is a professional journalist in the crime section of El Siglo newspaper. He has published Bajo el calor del fuego, Cuando Conversé con ellos (short interviews of 37 writers), The Star Counter and The Wave (1st Place, Medio Pollito 2007).

Peña Morán, Fernando: - Fernando Peña Morán began to draw when he was very young and later studied at the School of Plastic Arts. He developed his skills in the university, especially drawing caricatures. Since then he has been very successful. For the past 18 years he has worked as a caricaturist for the newspaper El Siglo and accepts new challenges daily.
