Pannell, Victoria E.: - Victoria E. Pannell is a middle-grade fiction author who grew up in southern New Jersey. She graduated from Rowan University with degrees in English and Education, and she has extensive experience in public affairs and communications. At the age of 73, she co-wrote and self-published her first book, "The Big Dream," in December 2023. This book was recognized as a finalist in the Readers' Choice Book Awards and won the Red Ribbon Award from the Wishing Shelf Book Awards.Following her debut, she co-authored "The Bird Caper," with her husband, Thorir Sigfusson, which received numerous accolades including the GOLD award in the Readers' Favorite International Book Awards, the GOLD award in the Wishing Shelf Book Awards, the prestigious indie B.R.A.G. Sigfusson, Thorir E.: - Thorir Sigfusson came to the United States from Iceland when he was twelve and recalls those years of transition, not knowing the language, as a time of great adjustment. Today, as an award-winning author, Thorir crafts relatable stories for middle-grade readers, having begun his writing journey after retiring from a long career as an architect. Thorir co-authored his debut novel, The Big Dream, with his wife, Victoria Pannell. The book is a finalist for the Readers' Choice Book Awards and won the Red Ribbon Award from the Wishing Shelf Book Awards. He later co-authored The Bird Caper, which received a Gold Medal in the Wishing Shelf Book Awards and Readers' Favorite International Book Awards. It was an honoree of the esteemed indie B.R.A.G.
