The Tasmanian Tiger is thought to be extinct, but the Great Mother disagrees. She asks two native bush mice, Harry and Larry, to find the remaining Tasmanian Tigers and warn them of approaching danger. The mice brothers overhear a secret plan to cut down rainforest in the heart of the Tarkine, where the Tasmanian Tigers are thought to be hiding.

But timber-getter, Sly Hatchett, loves hunting prized animals, and his sights are firmly set on the Tasmanian Tiger. Meanwhile, a ravenous Wedge-tailed Eagle throws Harry and Larry's mission into disarray.

Can Harry and Larry save the remaining Tasmanian Tigers before it's too late?

My story uses a unique blend of adventure, mystery and humour that will keep young readers turning the pages, and inspire them, that a different world - is possible.

This book will appeal to readers who loved Lian Tanner's 'A Clue for Clara', and her sequel, 'Rita's revenge', because of the similar humour and adventure.

My book is similar to Samantha Wheeler's 'Devils in Danger', which encourages readers to connect with wildlife.

This book also includes fun facts on Tasmanian history, animal and birds, geology and history of the Tasmanian Tiger / Thylacine. It is a story that encourages the reader to think about preserving the native rainforests, whose destruction may affect endangered animals and birds that call the Tarkine / Takayna their home.

Daly, Carolyn: - Carolyn Daly is a visual storyteller. She is an illustrator and writer, illustrating several children's books, along with other commission work.Carolyn lives and works in her studio near the water in Tasmania, where she can be found creating quirky characters that mostly end up as children's book characters, although some find a place as promotional characters for business and also for home décor. Carolyn's work has featured in children's storybooks, educational programs and interactive workbooks. It was Carolyn's earlier career as a primary/art teacher, that first sparked her love of visual storytelling for children, although she has drawn characters and created stories for as long as she can remember. Carolyn spends her days (and nights) dreaming up characters that are just looking for a story to land in.
