The Little Colonel's Knight Comes Riding is a children's novel written by Annie Fellows Johnston and first published in 1907. It is the fourth book in the Little Colonel series and tells the story of Lloyd Sherman, a young girl who lives in Kentucky with her family. In this book, Lloyd is excited to welcome her cousin, Keith, who is coming to visit from England. Keith is a knight in training and Lloyd is thrilled to have him stay with her and her family. Despite the challenges, Lloyd and Keith become close friends and together they work to overcome the prejudice they face. Along the way, they have many adventures, including a trip to Mammoth Cave and a visit to a nearby plantation. The book explores themes of friendship, acceptance, and standing up for what is right. It also provides a glimpse into life in the early 1900s in Kentucky, including the social hierarchies and prejudices of the time.
