Deichmann, Audrey: - Audrey Deichmann is an up and coming young novelist who collaborated on her debut YA novel, Teen Spies: Wartime Charlottesville Sleuths (2024). Audrey excels in her educational and recreational pastimes, particularly in school sports, karate, swimming, and the National American Miss Pageant. Audrey lives with her family in Virginia and continues to write collectively with her grandfather, historian Jim Sargent.

Sargent, Jim: - Jim Sargent is a retired professor of American History originally from Flint, Michigan, who has published extensively. His academic accomplishments include the Bachelor's Degree (1964) from Eastern Michigan University as well as the Master's (1968) and PhD Degrees (1972) in US History from Michigan State University. Jim taught history on the college level for forty years, the last thirty-three at Virginia Western Community College. In recent years he has focused on writing mystery novels. The first was Final Secret (2017). This novel, which highlights important events leading to the tragic Pearl Harbor attack in 1941, was the first of seven Mickey Mathews mysteries. The most recent is Brotherly Love (2023), which is set largely in Michigan in 1946. Jim also wrote Teen Spies (2024), a young adult mystery co-authored by his granddaughter Audrey Deichmann. Jim Sargent lives with his wife Betty in Roanoke, Virginia.
