Der Autor Dieter S. Trunk ist Jahrgang 1954, glücklich verheiratet, und hat viele Jahre lang im Außendienst Karriere gemacht. Nach langen Jahren und einer Karriere im Außendienst kam die Wende im Leben des erfolgreichen Geschäftsmannes, als die Krankheit "Depression" verbunden mit einer ungewöhnlich starken Angstneurose übergangslos Besitz von seinem Leben ergriff und ihn nahezu handlungsunfähig machte. Der jahrelange, demütigende Krankheitsverlauf, verbunden mit einem heftigen Karriereknick, zwang zu einem völlig neuen Leben. Das war vor ca. 20 Jahren. Weniger durch ärztliche oder therapeutische Kunst, sondern durch eine dramatische Heilungserfahrung verloren sich die Depressionen und die Angstneurose genau so, wie sie gekommen waren: Über Nacht. Seitdem, seit ca. 15 Jahren, hat der Autor sich diesem Krankheitsbild, der Depression, angenommen, es studiert, erforscht, mit Betroffenen geredet, im Rahmen von vielen, vielen Seelsorgegesprächen immer weiter ausgelotet und inzwischen vielen Hilfesuchenden den Weg zur Beschwerdefreiheit aufgezeigt. Der Autor hat sich inzwischen mit einer Consultig-Firma im christlichen Bereich selbständig gemacht und hält Vorträge und Seminare im Bereich "Seelische Gesundheit" und auch in anderen Bereichen ab.
