We suffer his shock when a fall derails the path that he had so carefully constructed. He allows us an inside view of how he is forced to adapt to a new post-head-injury normal. His gifts allow us a dual perspective. We see his injury and response from the view of a confused victim. As well, because of his professional perspective acquired over years of medical practice, we also can find detached perspective and healing guidance for others. As he writes, he teaches.
