Sari Arponen es Doctora en Ciencias Biomédicas por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, especialista en Medicina Interna, profesora universitaria y experta en microbiota. Licenciada en Medicina por la Universidad de Murcia, se especializó en Medicina Interna en el Hospital Universitario de la Princesa de Madrid. Tiene un máster en Enfermedades Infecciosas y otro en VIH, un posgrado de tres años en Psiconeuroinmunología Clínica por la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, y es Experta Universitaria en Nutrición.
Tras casi veinte años de experiencia clínica, en la actualidad se dedica a la formación y divulgación en el ámbito de la microbiota y la medicina del estilo de vida. También pasa consulta aplicando un enfoque basado en la medicina evolutiva y sus conocimientos sobre la microbiota. Además, es cofundadora de «Slow Medicine Revolution», una plataforma de divulgación sobre salud y estilo de vida con perspectiva evolutiva.
Sari Arponen holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, a specialist in Internal Medicine, a university professor and an expert in microbiota. With a degree in Medicine from the University of Murcia, she specialised in Internal Medicine at the Hospital Universitario de la Princesa in Madrid. She has a master's degree in Infectious Diseases and another in HIV, a three-year postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca, and is a University Expert in Nutrition.
After almost twenty years of clinical experience, she is currently dedicated to training and dissemination in the field of microbiota and lifestyle medicine. He also consults applying an approach based on evolutionary medicine and his knowledge of the microbiota. In addition, she is co-founder of "Slow Medicine Revolution", an outreach platform on health and lifestyle with an evolutionary perspective.
