English summary: The Biblical Lands Museum in Jerusalem houses one of the most important collections of Near Eastern monuments and archaeological finds, which document the civilizations of the ancient Near East in biblical times. The collection represents all the cultures and people that are mentioned in the Bible: geographically the collection ranges from Egypt, through the so-called Fertile Crescent and into Afghanistan; to the south it covers the region of Nubia and to the north is goes beyond the Caucasus. Any visitor to the museum would encounter information about the ancient Egyptians, Philistines, Arameans, Hittites, Phoenicians, Persians and the ancient Greeks. The exhibition rooms of the museum were created according to the succession of individual phases of time and demonstrate the changes, which in part occurred at the same time. References from the Bible serve to make the specific periods of time more comprehensible: they explain the contexts of the exhibits and offer reciprocal insight into the Bible. The Biblical Lands Museum in Jerusalem represents the noteworthy lifework of Batya and Elie Borowski, who together founded and designed the museum and therefore shaped the only museum in the world, which highlights the history of biblical times and lands. Die Ausstellungsraume des Museums sind nach der Abfolge der einzelnen Zeitphasen aufgebaut und veranschaulichen die Veranderungen, die zum Teil gleichzeitig stattfanden. Zitate aus der Bibel dienen dazu, die gezeigte Periode nachvollziehbar zu machen: Sie verdeutlichen Zusammenhange und tragen umgekehrt auch zum Verstandnis der Bibel bei.
