English summary This volume deals with the study of the archaic phase of Pompeii (6th-5th century BC) with particular attention to the topic of the urban configuration of the city. The aspects taken into consideration range from the history of the discovery of pre-Roman Pompeii, to the description of the elements characterizing the urban landscape, to the cults practiced inside and outside the walls. The work--based both on published material and unpublished archival data--included the creation of an archaeological phase map, prepared through the planimetric repositioning of the evidence pertaining to the chronological horizon in question. The aim was to create a tool of fundamental importance for the continuation of research on the pre-Roman phases of Pompeii.
