Rohingyas are one of the most persecuted ethnic groups in the world. The present and past governments of Myanmar refused their legal rights to nationality and citizenship for decades. Their fight for their citizenship is six decades old. There were many military and non-military operations to cleanse them from their homes almost every year since the independence of Myanmar. The most horrific one is in August 2017 when the junta forces operated a brutal crackdown on them resulting a huge influx of the Rohingya refugees to nearby countries. During the first three weeks of the crackdown, almost a million Rohingya refugees took shelter in Bangladesh, the district of Cox'sBazar. Since then, the Bangladesh government is working with the UN agencies to provide the refugees the life saving humanitarian aid. To understand this humanitarian operation, one needs to go through some important aspects of the response. This book covers some of them.
