English summary: With a base in the Royal Society in London, the Academie des Sciences in Paris, and the Berlin Society of Sciences, this volume studies cultural practices and social patterns of knowledge production in natural studies of the early modern period. At the center stand not the institutions, but the logic of action of very different groups who were involved in the production of knowledge. What ultimately should be known, and how to produce it and authenticate it, was determined not only by a specially appointed group of experts, but was constantly negotiated between different groups. Relationship logic, therefore, plays an important role both for the individuals involved, as well as for the constitution of knowledge and knowledge objects. The history of science is open to a social, economic, and cultural history, in which the analytical categories (what is knowledge, what is a scholar, what is a scientific institution) can be historicized and dynamized. Im Zentrum stehen nicht die Institutionen, sondern die Handlungslogiken ganz unterschiedlicher Akteure, die an der Wissensproduktion beteiligt waren.
