Die meiste Zeit meines Arbeitslebens war ich quasi der "Hamster im Laufrad". Das Laufrad konnte ich immer dann erfolgreich verlassen, wenn ich Zeit für meine Stricknadeln hatte. Es gibt viele amüsante Geschichten aus der Zeit. Zum Beispiel, wenn ich mit meinen Stricknadeln in einem Stau entdeckt worden bin oder mit meinen Leuten in der Teeküche nach Feierabend gestrickt habe. Von Vielen wurde ich belächelt. Egal! Wichtig war, wir hatten jede Menge Spaß. Irgendwann hatte ich keine Lust mehr, der Hamster zu sein. Ich habe mich in die Selbstständigkeit gestürzt und ein Einzelhandelsgeschäft für Wolle und Kinderspielzeug eröffnet. In meinem kreativen kunterbunten Konsum gibt`s Kreatives aus Naturmaterialien. Für mich ist es wichtig, dass jeder in seiner Altersklasse mit Spaß und Begeisterung lernen kann. ToGo-Kreativkurse für die Kids in der Kita oder Schule, Bastelevents in sozialen Einrichtungen, Strickevents für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene machen einfach nur Spaß. In Zeiten wie diesen, habe ich die Ideen in Bücher gepackt. So ist für die Kleinen, die Geschichtenerzählen beim Basteln lieben, das Kinderbuch "Gustav und Else im Zauberland" entstanden. Eingebunden in eine wundervolle Tiergeschichte lernen sie Fingerstricken und basteln mit vermeintlichem Müll. Für die Großen habe ich, alles was normaler Weise in unseren Strickrunden bei Sekt und Schokolade und mit viel Spaß probiert und diskutiert, aufgeribbelt und neu angefangen wird, in dieses Buch geschrieben.
