Many comments are also included to provide building owners with a general understanding of the materials and systems in the structure such as pipe materials, water heaters, gas system and appliances, cladding and siding, roofing, drainage, electrical system, HVAC systems and exhaust, fencing, driveways and parking lots, sidewalks, foundations, porches, decks, windows, doors, fireplaces, patios, lanais, gutters, and various other systems material types and descriptions. This is especially useful with a newer home that may have little to no defects. With little to reference in the report, the client may feel cheated or short changed, even though you provided everything you should have. However, when some references to materials and there common benefits and attributes/defects are added to a report, it provides the "beef" to help your client feel they left with something informative as they expected and more. As a Professional Home Inspector and Catastrophic Adjuster, I have seen countless times through the years in my business, referrals increased substantially as I perfected my style of integrating these descriptions into the report. About The Author

Throughout the last 19 years, Daniel Zevetchin has been inspecting commercial and residential structures. In 2008 he became a member of the International Association of Home Inspectors. Daniel became a state licensed home inspector in 2010 and an All Lines Insurance Adjuster in the State of Florida in 2013. He has done renovations and has worked in the residential & commercial inspections industries for other companies, from installing pilasters and crown moldings throughout the Trump Ballroom on the Kellogg Estate in Florida to the average residential home flip. From small residential home renovations to complete rehabilitations. The most experience an inspector can have is actual field experience, first in construction to provide an installer's perspective and then a seasoned length of experience in inspecting the systems as they degrade.
