Illouz-Eliaz, Natanella: - Natanella Illouz-Eliaz brings a rare mix of storytelling ability and scientific expertise to this book. Born in Israel, she went on to serve as an officer in the Israeli army before pursuing her passion for plant science. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the prestigious Salk Institute located in La Jolla (CA) where her work focuses on how plants recover from stress.Beyond her research, Natanella is deeply committed to scientific outreach and mentorship, having started an initiative for women in postdoctoral training. She believes profoundly in sparking curiosity about plants and nature from an early age. With her unique background and perspective, Natanella is ideally positioned to be the voice that brings the world of plants to life for young readers.
