It is quite understandable if one is scared of spiders, especially ones that look large.

A Huntsman with its large hairy and flat body, eight legs, and eight eyes in the front of their head might appear scary, but they are indeed harmless to humans. If disturbed, they run away. In fact, they can walk forward and sideways with speed and agility and can even jump short distances!

Found in many countries and especially in Australia, some species can reach over nineteen centimetres when their legs are extended!

Although they live on tree trunks and under barks and leaves, they like coming inside houses, as they like warm places where they can eat flies, cockroaches and other insects.

Imagine going into a bathroom and finding a Huntsman spider with its eight eyes, eight legs and stretched out as long as a banana?

Well, Mrs Morey finds one such spider in her bathroom, a Huntsman! Terrified of it, she is determined to get rid of it. Her solution - to tell Mr Morey to do so. And so, the hunt for the Huntsman begins!

Will Mr Morey find their 'horrid' visitor? Or will the Huntsman be too clever for him? Will the Moreys ever learn that a Huntsman means no harm, even though it might look scary.

Well, as Mrs Morey imagines the worst and takes things into her own hands, everyone is in for a nasty shock, especially poor Mr Morey!

This is a funny story written as a poem, elaborated with pictures of watercolours on canvas that trace the tale of Donny's Horrid Huntsman!
