Goederen, Nina de: - Nina De Goederen is the author of the children's book series, Johnny, the Inventor. Since her childhood, Nina was drawn to reading and loved the way her books made her feel. She now writes to enhance that same special spark of creativity, independence and personal growth in children and to help them feel confident, strong and special about who they are. Her quirky and humorous stories aim to capture the hearts and smiles of young children. Nina's life journey has many facets; she is a wife, a mum, a gardener, a cook, a dog lover, a book lover, a teacher, a writer, and an author. She spent 39 years teaching secondary school English and is now retired. Throughout her teaching career, she has inspired students to become avid readers and confident writers with creative minds of their own. She is a member of various writing communities, including Writers Victoria, the Australian Society of Authors and the Children's Book Council of Australia. She is also a multiple graduate from the Australian Writers' Centre Victoria. Nina lives in Melbourne, Australia, with her family and her fluffy, sometimes cheeky but always loving fur baby husky, Ace.
