Kat's summer takes a wild turn when she moves to a new city. On her birthday, she adopts a shy puppy named Kit. Together, they embark on thrilling adventures, uncovering secrets in their new home and helping others along the way.

Enrolling in a scent tracking class, Kat learns to harness Kit's powerful nose, turning their training sessions into exciting adventures. From searching for lost neighbors to uncovering clues about their mysterious house, the duo finds themselves in one thrilling escapade after another.

Through their journey, Kat learns the importance of friendship, courage, and embracing change. Kit, with his gentle spirit, teaches her that even the shyest among us can shine brightly. Together, they face challenges, solve mysteries, and help those in need, proving that love and loyalty can conquer any fear. Savar, Carly: - "Carly Savar is an attorney and entrepreneur who loves dogs - especially big ones - and new adventures. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California. She was inspired to write this series with her mother after hearing about the scent class that her mother took with their beloved family Labrador, Biscuit. In her free time, Carly enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, and making ice cream with her husband Aaron. She has a two-year-old son Jared, who like her, is an aspiring dog owner."

Steinbaum, Linda Felton: - Linda Felton Steinbaum is an award-winning playwright and a member of the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, the Dramatists Guild of New York, and the Writer's Guild of America. Her plays have been produced in California and performed nationally, with works available in over 50 libraries worldwide. Linda loves dogs and supports local no-kill shelters. She has taken scent classes with shelter dogs to help train them. After raising her children, Carly and Glenn, she now lives with her husband Bruce and their rescue Labrador, Rex. Linda's first children's book, Kit 'n Kat, was published in May 2019.
