In her second adventure, Rose Iris is thrust back into a magic world to help her old friends Leanora and Ilani. Evil Queen Elvira and her rock troll army have been kidnapping rock doppies, earth crabbits, wind whistlers and worst of all mud fairies, including Ilani's husband, and it's up to Rose Iris and Leanora to save them. For that they will need a potion made of a water maiden's tears, natter from a natter-jack toad, pollen from a bee's knees, and some moondust, and there is no time to waste.

Join Rose Iris as she travels to exciting new places and meets interesting new friends like Toddy the fox and the captains of his flea army, beautiful moonbeam fairies and Snoozlenap, the bringer of good dreams.

Rose Iris will need her bravery and resilience to save the magical world, in this enchanted story about friendship and adventure.

Hopkins, Barbara: - Barbara Hopkins was born in Herefordshire, during the Second World War. After the war, her family moved to Middlesex. Her childhood was short and by the age of ten she was the eldest of six children and much of her time was spent doing housework and taking care of her younger siblings. In her limited spare time she loved drawing and writing, and inventing stories of enchanted worlds, and the characters who inhabited them. She left Longford Girl's School at fourteen and worked on a farm until she was fifteen and old enough to legally work. She was a frequent visitor to her local library and her fascination with fairies and mysterious, magical places continued. Her dream is that children will get great pleasure from her tales of magic and parallel worlds, and enjoy the illustrations of the characters she has created.
