Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Hispanistik, Note: 1,3, Universität Leipzig (Institut für Romanistik), Veranstaltung: Varietätenlinguistik, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der vorliegenden Arbeit werde ich mich mit dem Thema "Die kubanische Varietät des Spanischen" auseinandersetzen, dabei werde ich meinen Schwerpunkt in den Termini Lexik, Phonetik und Morphosyntax setzen und versuchen den Lauf der Entwicklung dieser Varietät anhand von geschichtlichen, politischen und gesellschaftlichen Ereignissen zu untersuchen. Fernando Ortiz war ein kubanischer Wissenschaftler und Politiker der sich eingehend mit der Frage der "Cubanidade" beschäftigte, er prägte den kulturwissenschaftlichen Begriff der Transkulturation, der sich auch sehr gut auf linguistischer Ebene in Bezug auf Kuba anwenden lässt. Kuba ist die grö te der Antilleninseln und bereits in der Schule lernt man als junger Kubaner, dass Kuba die Insel unter den Inseln sei, ein Archipel das einem Kontinent nahe kommt. Der Satz, der sich allen einprägte und Bestandteil des kollektiven Gedächtnisses Kubas wurde, schrieb Cristóbal Colón an jenem Sonntag, den 28. Oktober 1492 in seinem Bordbuch nieder: "Dize que es aquella isla la más hermosa que ojos ayan visto, llena de muy buenos puertos y ríos hondos, y la mar que parecía que nunca se devía de alçar, porque la yerva de la playa llegava hasta cuasi el agua, lo cual no suele llegar adonde la mar es brava." (Colón, Cristobal 1982, S. 126)
