The Book of Months is a collection of twelve short stories, each one representing a different month of the year. Written by Edward Frederic Benson and first published in 1903, the stories are set in rural England and follow the lives of various characters as they navigate the changing seasons and the challenges and joys that come with them. October brings the harvest and the joys of autumn, while November is a time of remembrance and reflection. Finally, December brings the festive season, with all its traditions and celebrations. Through these twelve stories, Benson captures the essence of each month and the unique experiences and emotions that come with it.
