He also served the same University as Reader and Head, Department of Library and Information Science. He is a Founder Head of Department of Library & Information Science of Agra University; IME, Sahibabad; M.M. Modi College, Modinagar. He has served as Director, UIMT, and Chief Proctor/Chief Warden and Development Officer in the SRM Institute of Management and Technology, Modinagar. Dr. Sharma has written 27 books till date on Library & Information Science, General Studies, and History. His two books, Research Methodology and Historical Places of India are very popular. He has attended many National and International Conferences. He is Founder President of Chhattisgarh Library Association. He is a life member of ILA and UPLA. Dr. Kiran Singh, M.A., Pol. Sc., History, Hindi, M.Lib. & Info. Sc., Ph.D., D.Litt., is a renowned person in the field of education and library and information science. He has to his credit a great number of awards, the most recent being Sikshavid Award [2003], Dr. Ambedhkar Ratna Award [2002], Meerut Ratna Award [1999], Sher-e-Punjab Award [1997]. For the last several years he has been awarded Ideal Teacher Award. At present, he is serving as a Librarian, NAS P.G. College, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He has published more than fifty articles in various magazines and journals. Besides these, he has published various poems on patriotism that received great applause.
