About The Author

R.K. Gupta (IRS)He was born on 25-11-1965 at Kanpur, joined the Income-tax Department as a direct recruit inspector and elevated to IRS in 2003. In addition to his regular assignments as a tax administrator, he has served as an Under Secretary in Central Board of Direct Taxes, New Delhi. He teaches law and is a regular visiting faculty at National Academy of Indian Railways, Vadodara, National Academy of Central Excise and Narcotics (NACEN), Faridabad, and in several Direct Taxes Regional Training Institutes spread over country. He has dedicated the royalty of this edition to Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund Permanently.Pratik Tayal He has completed his B.A., L.L.B. (H) from the elite National Law University, Delhi in 2017 itself and has secured 92nd rank in Civil Services Examination-2017 in his first attempt. He has assisted the lead author in preparing the model answers of past years question papers prior to joining training at LABASAANA, Mussorie.
