The style of questions included in the book is to meet the requirement of various competitive examinations such as Indian Civil Services and entrance examinations in medicine and engineering.

KIRPAL SINGH, Ph.D., is Member of the Board of Directors of Pacific Basin Consortium for Health and Environment, Honolulu, Hawaii and also formerly Professor of Chemistry, and Dean of Natural and Physical Sciences, University of Papua, New Guinea. He has been Editor of Science in New Guinea and Commissioner on the PNG Commission for Higher Education and representating PNG for over eight years on the Board of Directors of the PCB. His main research interests are in the areas of environmental studies, water quality and industrial wastewater analysis. He has published over 130 publications. He is a recipient of many national and international awards for his contribution in chemistry in developing countries. Author’s rich and varied experience of over 40 years has resulted in this highly informative and well-written book.
