He became a disciple of Sri Aurobindo in 1929, focusing on Aurobindo's philosophy and Rig Veda interpretation. His works, spanning English, Sanskrit, Tamil, and Telugu, include "Lights on the Veda" and "Sidelights on the Tantra." Sastry passed away in Pondicherry in 1953.
