This extensively traveled and erudite scholar, as explored in the book "Hinduism and the Modern World," delves into the potential for constructing a new India by ensuring the effective survival of Hindus. Traditionally, the challenges faced by the Hindu community have been viewed as a national issue due to Hinduism's geographic confinement to India. In contrast to global religions like Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism, Hinduism's impact is primarily localized. Nonetheless, the author contends that the predicament of Hindus, comprising more than one-eighth of the world's population, is a global concern. While Hinduism may be a domestic religious matter, the international community cannot overlook obstacles preventing this significant portion of the world from contributing to overall well-being. The article underscores the interconnectedness of humanity and stresses the importance of addressing impediments that hinder progress in any community.
