Kalidasa's Meghaduta edited by E. Hultzsch is a scholarly edition of the classic Sanskrit play by the ancient poet Kalidasa. This work is edited from various manuscripts and includes the commentary of Vallabhadeva, a key interpreter of Kalidasa's texts. Hultzsch's edition provides a thorough Sanskrit-English vocabulary, making the poem accessible to both scholars and students of classical Sanskrit literature. The Meghaduta, a lyrical poem about a cloud messenger, is one of Kalidasa’s most celebrated works, and this edition enriches the reader's understanding of its poetic and cultural significance in ancient Indian literature
