About The Book

There are many moments in life when a person feels confused about what is right to do. Sometimes it feels necessary to act, and at other times, giving up seems better. Desires and attachments arise in the mind, and a person falls into doubt and indecision. In such times, one needs guidance to find the right path. This book, based on the third chapter of the Shrimadbhagavadgita, answers this very question. In it, Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna that action (karma) itself is true religion (dharma). Liberation is not achieved merely through renunciation or knowledge; it comes through selfless action, performed without desire for reward.

This book teaches us that running away from duty is not the solution; performing every task with a sense of responsibility is the highest path. When a person acts without attachment or ego, that action becomes yoga, a spiritual practice. Such yoga brings balance to life, gives direction to family and society, and strengthens the nation.

Just like Arjuna on the battlefield, whenever we stand at a crossroads of right and wrong, this book reminds us that life itself is a sacred offering (yajna), and action is its devotion. That is the true message and essence of this book.

About The Author

Dr. Rajesh Takyar believes that the Shrimadbhagavadgita is not just a religious scripture, but a mirror of human life. The inspiration to write about the Gita came to him as an inner calling, which he considers a blessing from Lord Krishna. This inspiration was not sudden; his mother had recited the Gita daily throughout the nine months of her pregnancy, creating a deep spiritual connection between him and the divine scripture from birth.

He observed that while many scholars have written profound commentaries on the Gita, most are not easily accessible to common readers, especially youth. Therefore, Dr. Rajesh Takyar made a sincere resolve to present the teachings of the Gita in a simple, clear, and practical way, so that everyone can understand its spiritual wisdom and apply it in daily life.

This book marks another milestone in Dr. Rajesh Takyar’s spiritual writing journey. His earlier work, Inventing Dreams, received the Golden Book Award. Among his other creations are Krishna: Ek Satya Gyaan, Way to Success, Safalta Ka Raasta, and Shrimadbhagavadgita in an 18-book series, among others.

In recognition of his literary contributions, Dr. Rajesh Takyar has been honored with prestigious awards, including the “Rashtriya Bharat Ratna Samman” and the “Bharat Gaurav Ratna Shri Samman."
