Under such conditions how do we preserve the core and concept of India and aim for development? Addressing these concerns and providing some answers is Dr. Kalam who believes that at the heart of the nation is the individual and it is only when each individual citizen achieves success that the nation can succeed. Fired by idealism yet grounded in reality, Spirit of India shows that it is possible to progress at both the individual and national level provided we abide by the principle that "the nation is bigger than any individual or organisation" and understand that "only borderless minds can create a borderless society."

A P J Abdul Kalam is an Indian scientist, and was the President of India in 2002. He completed his engineering in the aerospace stream from MIT, Chennai. Before being the President of India, he worked at Defence Research and Development Organisation as an aerospace engineer. Kalam is titled as Missile Man of India due to his contribution in the missile technology. He has written numerous books and documentaries. Mission India, Turning Points, India 2020: A Vision For The New Millennium, and Inspiring Thoughts are a few of books the authored.
