Raja Rudradeva of Kumaon, the eldest son of Kakatiya ruler Prola II, was a vassal under the Chalukyas of Kalyani. Hara Prasad Shastri (1853–1931) was a distinguished Indian academic, Sanskrit scholar, and historian renowned for discovering the Charyapada, the earliest Bengali literary works.
