His career also included roles in the Colonial Office and the Faculty of Advocates. Keith authored numerous books on constitutional law, including "Responsible Government in the Dominions" and "The British Cabinet System," as well as works on Indian culture and literature, such as "The Samkhya System" and "Classical Sanskrit Literature."
