I was born in a cultured middle class Brahmin family. My father Ramkripal Panday was Subedar Major in 21 Assam Rifles. My mother is a house wife. I have two sisters both are graduate. I did my schooling in Maharashi Valmiki Laghu Madhayamik Vidyalaya, Kushi Nagar (UP), Army School, Gorakhpur, College education from D.A.V. College, Chandigarh. I am NCC certificate holder from 2 Bn Chandigarh. I did MA, English from University of Faizabad.
