Dr. M. S. Kushwaha, a recognised Byron Scholar and former head of the English department at Lucknow University, has over three decades of experience in literary research. Having dedicated his career to foster greater scope in English studies across Indian universities, his pioneering contributions include English Research in India (1972) and Glimpses of Indian Research in English Literature (1984), works that mapped and consolidated Indian scholarship in the field. His study Byron and the Dramatic Form (1980) earned international recognition and is recommended in the New Pelican Guide to English Literature. A versatile scholar, he has published widely on poetics, drama and comparative literature, and has also made notable contributions to Sanskrit studies.

Dr. Kamal Naseem, PhD, formerly with the English department at SPM College, University of Delhi, is a scholar, translator and writer. With wide-ranging contributions to literatures in Hindi, Urdu and English, she produced the first authentic and comprehensive account of Greek mythology in Hindi, Grees Puran Katha Kosh (1983), which earned the Delhi Hindi Academy Award. Her subsequent work, Urdu Sahitya Kosh (1988), was acclaimed as a pioneering reference and reissued in 1998. She has also translated Sophocles' Oedipus Trilogy with commentary for the Sahitya Akademi (2000). Beyond academia, she has been a familiar presence on Doordarshan, presenting programmes and scripting documentaries, and has long been engaged with women's issues. Her doctoral research focused on the representation of women in Byron's poetry and plays.
