In dieser Arbeit geht es um die Förderung der Lesekompetenz von SchülerInnen mit Deutsch als Zweitsprache (DaZ) in der Sekundarstufe I. Auf welche aktuellen Ergebnisse der Leseforschung und Literaturdidaktik kann dabei zurückgegriffen werden? Inwieweit können methodisch-didaktische Bausteine aus den fachdidaktischen Teilgebieten Deutsch als Muttersprache (DaM), Deutsch als Zweitsprache (DaZ) und Deutsch als Fremdsprache (DaF) in ein Modell einbezogen werden? Die Ergebnisse ergeben in ihrer Synthese ein Leseförderungsmodell, das sich als systematisches Unterrichtsprinzip für den sprachintegrativen, literaturgestützten und DaZ-orientierten Regelklassenunterricht in der Sekundarstufe I versteht und in modifizierter Form auch auf entsprechende Zielgruppen anderer Klassenstufen und Schularten übertragen werden kann.

Die Autorin: Antje Dohrn, geboren 1965 in Berlin; Studium der Germanistik, Romanistik und Amerikanistik an der Freien Universität Berlin; Erstes und Zweites Staatsexamen in den Fächern Deutsch, Französisch und Englisch; Zusatzqualifikationen im Bereich Deutsch als Fremdsprache (DaF) und Deutsch als Zweitsprache (DaZ); Unterrichtstätigkeiten u. a. an Berliner Schulen, Studienkolleg der Freien Universität und Technischen Universität Berlin; Auslands- und Forschungsaufenthalte in Frankreich, England, USA, Kanada und China; Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Technischen Universität Berlin am Institut für Sprache und Kommunikation im Fachbereich Fachdidaktik Deutsch (Forschungsschwerpunkte u. a.: DaM-/DaZ- und DaF-Literaturdidaktik, interkulturelle Kommunikation, DaZ- Schulcoaching) und in der wissenschaftlichen Weiterbildung Projekt- und Autorinnentätigkeiten.
